About the Conference
The conference theme, 'Psychology and Technology', refers to two independent entities working together for the betterment of the society. ‘Psychology’ is the study of mind and behavior that encompasses the biological, social, and environmental factors that affect how people think, act and feel. On the other hand, ‘Technology’, is the study that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment.
The interface between Psychology and Technology has emerged gradually and has increased the capabilities of the two. It has made it almost impossible to separate on how we conduct our social lives, business, health care, education, etc. Humans are evolved, social and cognitive beings who have long sought technologies that extend their capacities to process information and support their work practices.
Message from Conference Director
It gives an immense pleasure and honor to express my deepest gratitude to host the 27th International and 58th National Conference of IAAP 2023 in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, University of Delhi and IIP (Indian Institute of Psychology), Noida. Under the banner of centenary celebration (1922- 2022), which is to be celebrated for full year from 1st May 2022 to 31st April 2023 for achieving 100 years of academic excellence.
Everyone of us have experienced and exposed to unpredictable and unprecedented situations from March, 2019 for at least 2 and a half year, during this period many things has changed and that to without resistance, every one of us have adapted to the technology based solutions to manage day to day task at work and in many other places too. These mention above situations lead us to decide the theme of the conference “Psychology and Technology: Shaping the world”, further in the same line and in relation to understand the government of India’s initiation of “Digital India”. Hope this platform would bring various disciplines under one umbrella to deliberate research, academic and intellectual interaction in percolating down for the policy formulation for the betterment of the human life.

Message from Organizing Chairperson
It indeed gives me an immense pleasure to warmly welcome all the delegates to the 27th International and 58th National Conference of Indian Academy of Applied Psychology from 15th-17th February 2023, New Delhi, India. On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all delegates to the conference on ‘Psychology and Technology: Shaping the World’.
The present conference focuses on exploring the future prospects of Psychology and Technology. In this ever expanding technology world, it is important to make new possibilities and innovations for the betterment of the society. Indeed, we can see technology has introduced new ways to provide treatments (teletherapy, websites, apps, VR, AI), access to information, education and research. Thus, a multi-perspective and multi-disciplinary approach has been taken into consideration for the conference. With this I also want to express my sincere appreciation to all the members for their valuable support and feedback. Last but not the least, I extend my gratitude and welcome all the members and delegates to this conference.
